Lobbying
Are you interested in talking to your Senator or Representative about health care reform?
We have collected resources from several members of the WISC Health Care Working Group, and they have developed pages geared towards specific religious denominations. These resources are available below, but will also be in print at the United Methodist building at 100 Maryland Ave. NE, from 10 am to 4 pm on June 24. The United Methodist Building will host:
- A hospitality room with light refreshments
- A room with printed materials to take on visits to Capitol Hill.
- An open chapel with resources for guided meditation and prayer for health care
- A briefing on Health Care reform at 11am by Rev. Cynthia Abrams
If you’re in town early and looking for something to do before the Interfaith Service of Witness and Prayer, this is a great opportunity to see Capitol Hill and speak to your Senator or Representative’s office about this important issue! If you have any questions, please e-mail Meredith Hoxie at mhoxie@umc-gbcs.org, or call the building’s main line at 202-488-5600. If you can’t make it to DC, these are still great resources to use as part of the National Call-In Days!
