As people of faith, we recognize the moral imperative of working for a health care future that includes everyone and works well for all of us. Across traditions, we unite hands and hearts, believing together we can bring to pass a more just society in which we all have access to affordable and quality care. Among the pressing challenges facing our nation, the healthcare crisis stands out as the most immediate legislative endeavor that can be decisively influenced by a consortium of religious voices. More than 40 national faith organizations have come together to plan the largest faith-inspired mobilization to ever happen around health care reform. On June 24th, 2009, we’ll make our voices heard at an Interfaith Service of Witness and Prayer for Health Care for All from on Washington D.C.’s Freedom Plaza. A health fair will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by the service from 5 – 7:00 p.m. If you can’t make it to Washington, there are local events happening all over the United States during the Interfaith Week of Prayer for Health Care.
